The Tale Of A Friend

Kesha has known for a while now that her best friend Tasha has been seeing her boy friend Jimmy despite her parents objections. Believing she was a good friend ,sometimes she even allowed Tasha parents to believe Tasha was spending the night over her house, so she be with Jimmy , doing , well you know.

One night during one of Kesha's escapades, Tasha mom fell tragically ill & died from an allergic reaction. When the family tried to contact Kesha they couldn't , and even if they had she wouldn't have the faintest idea where Tasha was.

In hindsight we can say whatever we want , being that its 20/20.The real question , the one that has moral , and ethics implications is , what constitutes a good friend? could it be one who helps avoid responsibility, and lies for you? or is it , one that holds you accountable for your actions , teaches you responsibility , and stands by you while you face the consequences of your actions? Kesha thought she was a good friend , so  im asking you , which friend would you want to have & more importantly which friend do you consider yourself to be?

Karens Dilemma

Karen begin to notice that her son Ra-Ra behavior not to mention attitude begin to change from a positive view to a negative one.Instead of following her parental intuition , and talking to her son in regards to her concerns & his behavior , she settle for the obvious , like many parents , and done nothing. Her reasoning , simple he's a teenager , and as such he is just being rebellious.

Had she followed her intuition , and talked to him she would have found out like the average teenager he was struggling to find his way , and that peer pressure had forced him to make a tragic decision of joining a gang & he felt he had no way out or anybody to talk to.

The moral of the story is how many of us can identify with karen? How many of our sons are Ra-Ra in the sense of succumbing to peer pressure, committing criminal acts.So , parents are we going to be our kids friends , or parents? if you chose parents , that means being nosy , and involved in their lives , who influence do you want to guide them.Yours or a stranger? they might not say it but they need us.The only question is are we listening?
